Should scalping concert tickets online be illegal?

Some people say that it's not called scalping tickets cuz they bought it legal online but I think it should be illegal to resell them online.

It's the same as scalping basically.

Scalping makes me mad. You have sometimes in the area of 60% of the total original tickets being bought by people who will not step foot into the door only to resell the tickets for much more $. Some times that can keep the true fans away from the building putting the tix into the hands of only those who can afford it. I like the rules that Missouri has where it is illegal to resell tickets above ticket value.

I live in Houston and when the Astros were in the Playoffs against the Cards it was cheaper/easier to find tickets in St.Louis then in my home town Houston due to the laws.

It is rediculous and not fair to the average consumer because the scalpers have programs / insiders getting them tickets before we can. Sometimes selling out in 3 min while I have been in line at ticketmaster all morning.

? No.
No. You wanna buy some Bruce Springstein tickets?
Its not scalping if you sell the ticket for the face value of the ticket.
nope
No theres bigger problems in the world than that :)
No because sometimes if your really desperate to go to a show that is sold out those scalpers come in handy regardless if they are ripping you off or not. Its like a last chance sort of thing.
depends
Yes it should be illegal and this answer's 2 points puts me onto 15000
The Bible says that one day statan will drive the unwashed masses to resell tickets on the internet. This will signify the impending Armageddon. But, otherwise I don't have a problem with it.
It depends. If you buy a ticket to a concert, but discover you can't go...and you cannot get a refund, I think you should be able to sell the ticket at face value. Basically, you don't make any money, you just give your ticket to someone else at fair market value. The vendor doesn't loose anything. If you're selling it at a higher price...then yeah, its a form of scalping and should be prosecuted. That's a real challenge though I would think. Ultimately, our opinions don't matter though. The law is the law and the law will decide if it is or isn't scalping or if they will prosecute it.
No, it should not.
nope!
Why? You got any?
No
